Rest Time – On the Cowslips

We just wanted an image of the cowslips, the lovely wild primrose, but ended up with an interloper; although a very welcome one. Its presence was unknown to us until long after we parted ways.

On a sunny day in County Offaly there sat an insect atop a golden cowslip flower. The Grand Canal glistened. A barge sat idle; there moored to the canal-bank.  Amid the current pandemic this tiny portion of the world is standing still. When the hordes return, creating a hustle-bustle on the Grand Canal Greenway, life will be different.

Fetching the Ball to Nature’s Music
